DGA competititon Results

A huge weekend at DGA - Our competition team may be small but we are “MIGHTY”. Congratulations to you all.

Our Step 4 team of Lucy Wellington, Mea Allison, Sami Reid, earnt a very impressive 2nd team placing with Lucy winning Step 4 overs- 1st beam, =1st Bar, 2nd vault and floor. Sami coming 3rd overall in Step 4 Unders, 1st floor, 2nd bar. Mea placed 9th overall in the Unders 7th beam and 10th on bars and floor.

Our Step 3 team of Elsie Parsons, Keira Lam, Lara Beams and Stella Kearns also placed 2nd team overall with Stella 4th place overall, 1st vault, 3rd Bar, and 3rd floor. Lara placed 3= vault, Keira 10th bars, Elsie 3rd vault, 2nd bars.

In Step 5 Vienna Harley had her first comp and came 5th overall and on bar, floor and vault and 4th on beam.

MAG was well represented too. James Watson had his first Level 4 comp placing 4th overall- 2nd on floor.

Level 3 Marshall Watson 5th overall, 2nd = Floor and  Charlie Nisbet placed 2nd overall! 1st floor, 1st H bar, 2nd pommel, 3rd rings, 3rd p bars.

Dean Coll and Jake Parsons competed in Level 2 placing 12th and 14th in a very strong field of 17 with Jake placing 8th in vault and 10th on h bar.

Our newest and highest Level 7 gymnast, Lachlan Hay recently transferred from Auckland, had his first Southern outing, scooping the pool and placing 1st overall.

We are so proud of you all and special thanks to accompanying coaches Jess and Ranan and Judge Emily.  Thanks to DGA for hosting and all the volunteers who gave up their time to help organise and operate. Thanks also to parents for transporting and supporting and to TECH 5 recruitment for sponsoring our cosy merinos.
