Here are few requests, hints, and tips for preparing for a gym session:

Wellness
Before coming to gym please ensure your child is in good health. Please do not attend if your child is unwell, in particular if:
Your child or the household has any symptoms of Covid 19 eg cough, fever, sneezing, runny nose, loss of smell or taste.

Parking & Drop Off
Please be careful when parking as is likely to be children about. You can leave once class starts, or are welcome to watch the session from the designated seating area. Seating is limited however.
Please note, you must stay with your child if they attending our 4 yr old class.

Entering the Gym
At the start of the session please wait in the reception area and a coach will invite all the gymnasts in together. Once in the gym, gymnasts will do group warm ups and then be allocated to a group with a coach. Please talk to a coach if you have any concerns about your child settling, if your child needs any special help with anything, or you have any information that will help our coaches ensure your child has the best experience possible.

Pick Up
Your child's safety is paramount to us, currently the pick up for most sessions will be inside the gym. Please do not encourage children leave the gym or to cross the road unsupervised.

What to bring
Please bring a named, full water bottle. Competitive gymnasts may bring personal gym equipment in a small bag which they can carry around with them.

Clothing
Gymnasts should come dressed in clean clothing suitable for gym, which may include any of the following - bike shorts, leggings, a close fitting t-shirt, sweat shirt or leotard, please avoid baggy clothes or school uniforms. In the winter layers are ideal. Shoulder length or longer hair must be tied up and jewellery should be removed. For trampoline & tumbling classes please have clean white socks. For Parkour classes please have clean non marking sports shoes. The main part of the PAC facilities do have changing rooms if anyone needs.

Snacks
Most sessions will not have snack breaks unless they are 2hrs or more so please ensure your child has a snack before the session.
Please ensure to keep any nut products out of the gym as we have members with allergies.

Gear storage
Please place your gear in a cubby hole with any other belongings. Parents should also remove shoes if coming over to chat with coaches.

Toilets

We have one toilet in our space, but there are more in the reciption area of PAC. For one hour classes children should ideally use the bathroom before they enter the gym.

Trampoline

The use of our main trampoline is restricted to ages 6+, and is only used in some of our recreational classes along with competitive classes. We have a list of safety rules posted on the side of the trampoline that a coach will go through with athletes before they get to use the trampoline. Some of the main ones to be aware of is that no one should ever walk or crawl under the trampoline or end frames.
All recreational level gymnasts must have a coach supervising besides the trampoline when using it, and no gymnasts should be attempting a new skill on the trampoline without a coach supervising.

Parkour Wall

Our parkour wall is also age restricted and requires coach supervision. Our wall has 3 sections varying in height.
Lowest section is for ages 5+ only. The next section is for those aged 8+ and the highest section is only for those 13+. Athletes should wear clean non-marking sport shoes whenever possible while using the wall.
